My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Iris has been at my house for less than a week and fits right in. She is still a puppy at 10 months and weighs about 22 pounds. She currently lives with 2 adults, my teenage son, our cat and 2 other dogs. She thinks they were all put there for her, and loves them all. I have a fenced in yard and a dog door and she has shown that she is housebroken from the start. I haven't had to crate her, and she will play with toys and likes to chew on bones.

If she wants attention she can be a little bit of a pest and will need some work with boundaries. For example if you are reading a book and she thinks she would be a nice addition to your lap she will run and take a flying leap into your lap. She will need to be told no a couple of times until she gets it but she is learning quickly.

I think she would do well in a variety of settings including with children. She would need to be part of the family and she wants to be involved in what ever you are doing. Part of this is the puppy in her but part of it is her HAPPY personality. She likes to play with other dogs and kids. She seems to have been well cared for. I don't know her story but she seems well balanced. She isn't fearful except for when introduced to new things she is hesitant for a minute which is normal. ( think Lawn mower)

She walks ok on leash and rides in a car well as long as her movements are restricted. Again she would like to be on your lap regardless of whether or not you are driving.
