Spooky's Story...
Spooky is a beautiful 5 year old blue weim. His foster mom says he is
just the best boy ever. He gets along fine with their older weim &
doesn't mind when the cat rubs all over him. He will sit & shake on
command and LOVES to have his belly rubbed. He walks nicely on a leash
and does just great in the car. He is housebroken and does not need to
be crated. He LOVES kids and does wonderful with them. One ear has had
hematomas that were not properly treated and so he has a cauliflower
ear. It gives him a bit of a roguish, devil-may-care look, it's
adorable. He needs a family with kids to play with, a couch to flop on
& people to love. Fostered in Springfield MO

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spooky, a St. Louis Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
