MEET MAX:
The Magnificent, Adorable, eXtremely fun and healthy dachshund/pekingese puppy. At 12 lbs, this amazing little guy is sure to steal your heart. He loves to walk and play with his furry companions (even cats, though they don't seem to appreciate him as much). With great gusto and energy, MAX tells us he is looking for a forever home with love and people who enjoy a bit of life in their puppy. Are you that forever family for MAX?
NOTE FROM ODR, INC: MAX is a friendly, playful little doggie, with high energy and according to his previous family, he will do best in a family without young children.
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
