My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cute, adorable, sweet, lovable, precious, spunky, funny...these are just a few of the words that I hear every day in my foster home! My goodness, I have really made a GREAT impression. I have also come a long way in a short time which shows that I was just patiently waiting for an opportunity to spread my wings in a new environment. I came from a home with lots of other iggies, so while I was loved, I just didn't get all the social exposures and attention that I needed to help me become a well-rounded doggy. Those days seem so long ago now! I have even been out to a big Italian Greyhound event where I showed off by giving kisses and sitting so sweetly in strangers' laps!

I have also discovered toys!!! They are the bestest-especially the squeaky ones...side note for those that don't know, apparently you are supposed to leave the fuzzy white stuff on the INSIDE of the toy! Coming out of my shell has also included striking up playtime with my foster siblings and guess what I found during a playful romp the other day???...MY BARK! My foster mom said something about it being, "So darned cute!"

I had no previous house-training skills at all but am doing really great in that department. I still have an occasional accident, but I think that will be a thing of the past pretty soon. My fur is growing in nicely and I have put on some much needed weight. I have always loved people, so that was the easy part. Now I am working on getting used to the big world and all the wonderful things in it and am doing a pretty good job even if I do say so myself!

My foster mom says it is time for me to get my very own forever family, and I agree. I am still getting used to loud noises and quick movements, so I would not do well in a home with small children or super hectic busy households. I crate very well and will do just fine with a family that is gone to work during the day as long as I have an opportunity for a potty break. A furry brother or sister would be especially nice too as long as they are okay with me being a bit of a lap hog.
Am I missing anything? Oh yeah-the stats! I am 5 years old, white with blue-fawn patches, I am up to 13 pounds, and I have the longest elegant iggy legs you can imagine!
