Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION PENDING Maggie is a 1-2 year old 'Fluffweiler'.Maggie is a high energy girl who loves to play, play, play. She can also be dominant in her play with other dogs and prefers to be the only dog so she can soak up all the attention. Maggie is a darling and has demonstrated great manners in the home.
Maggie is a pretty easy dog to live with. She knows basic obedience and is house trained. She is fine with small and big kids. She does not jump on the kids and rarely jumps on adults. Maggie likes to play ball and is a fun dog in general. She will chase cats and small animals that run. She will need exercise daily such as a long walk/ run and ball or Frisbee throwing in the yard but she is also great at just hanging out quietly in the house with her family. Maggie needs a fenced in yard due to her love of the chase.
Maggie is a shadow dog and will be next to you in every room you go to. Wherever I am she is laying close by. She will go outside and play by herself for a little while but you will hear her scratch at the door to come in when she wants company.
Overall Maggie is a great dog, good with people as well as kids. Very friendly and could be a Therapy Dog if trained. For a first time dog family she could work since she is easy to live with but I would highly recommend a training class to teach her and help you learn how dogs learn and think. Usually Rottweilers in general are not good matches for first time dog owners but Maggie is very gentle and easy to train. She listens well to voice command and tone.
