My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ailsa (pronounced eye-la) is a 6 month old Border Collie/English Shepherd mix. Ailsa is a very shy and fearful little girl. She has yet to warm up to her foster mom, and will hide when people are around. Ailsa has been using her brother, Iollan, as a "shield" from the scary people, and we believe that once they are both separated into different foster homes, that she will learn how to interact with people instead of letting her brother do all the work! Ailsa is still very young and we believe that she will come around in a loving, patient home that can socialize her and show her how great a life with her people can be! We have not had Ailsa tested with other dogs, children, or cats yet. However, being as fearful as she is she would probably not feel comfortable around young children. Ailsa is very small compared to her brother, and although this may be because he likes to hog the food, she will probably stay on the smaller side for a Border Collie mix. Despite being completely white, we do not believe Ailsa has any hearing or vision problems. We will be updating Ailsa's bio as she comes out of her shell and we learn more about her personality!

Ailsa has not been spayed yet and will be adopted with a prepaid spay from her adopter's veterinarian.
