My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cute, sweet, cuddly, fun are all great words to describe this little boy. Perfect might also fit in there as well? We have had Zucchini (Zuke) since he was only around five weeks old, and he is now close to 12 weeks old. He simply cannot understand why his litter mates and even his mama all got their new homes and he is the only one left. Don't feel sorry for him though - he is waiting for the perfect home - could it be yours?

Zuke appears to be Pomeranian/Corgi mix with possibly some Dachshund and Pug or Shih Tzu thrown in! We are guessing, of course, but whatever the mix, it made for an absolutely adorable pup.

Zuke will stay tiny! His mama is only around 12 pounds and it looks like Zuke will be smaller than her, taking on more Pomeranian traits (he even has red coming into his coat now). Even though Zuke is great with children, since he is going to stay so small, we are looking for a home for him in which any children are 10 years or older AND/OR have a lot of experience with tiny dogs.

Please go to our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and click on Adoption Process. Read through that page and at the bottom is a link for the application.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and is found under Resources. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
