My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Homer showed up at a family’s house and had hoped that he had found a forever home, but they were just unable to keep him. They had another older dog and Homer just wanted to play with her all of the time. If you have another dog plan to bring him or her to the adoption center to meet Homer to see if it’s a good fit. He has wonderful house manners and is crate-trained and housebroken. Homer is a great dog, very affectionate and smart. He does fine with men and women but seems particularly fond of the ladies. We have not seen Homer with children but he is very gentle with people and should do okay with kids. Absolutely no cats though. Homer just does not like cats at all. Homer is 3 years old and weighs 66 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. He tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, ticks and fleas. Homer walks fairly well on leash but will pull some. We are working on that! He is very friendly. He rides well in the car and enjoys being inside with his human friends. Our best times to do the meet and greets are any day (holidays are fine) between noon and 4 pm or after 7 pm. All family members, including any other dogs, should plan to come to the adoption center for the visit.
