My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our foster dogs live as family members in the foster home until chosen for adoption. You can contact his foster mom, Michelle by emailing mishellefrench@gmail.com for more information on how he can become part of your family.

Edison needs a forever home.

Little Edison is an adorable male pit bull puppy. He is like the middle child of his seven littermates—he gets along with everyone! He loves to romp and play in the grass with his siblings and snooze in the sunshine in a pile of puppies. He’s very smart and already understands the idea of potty training and coming when called!

Edison and his siblings were born to Hope on April 4. Hope was a pregnant stray in terrible shape when she was brought to us—there were signs of long-term, severe mal-nutrition and her milk was infected. The vets despaired that the puppies would survive because of all the things stacked against them, but miraculously, Hope gave birth to eight precious, healthy puppies three days after arriving in her foster home. The whole family is now healthy, happy, thriving, and looking for permanent homes.

Momma Hope is rather ugly at the moment due to her hair loss, but she makes up for her poor looks by her incredibly sweet disposition and her intelligence, which she has passed on to her sweet babies. She is a wonderful dog—once she is fully healthy, we can’t imagine a better one! She has been a great mom to her babies and has taught them to play nicely with each other, with other dogs, and with people of all sizes. They have inherited her sweet, affectionate, snuggly personality and are as smart and as eager to please their humans as she is.

Among the puppies, there are five females and three males. All are white, with slightly different markings on their noses. Their personalities are starting to become evident—their foster family will help you pick the right puppy for your family based on energy level and personality. The puppies will be ready spayed or neutered, microchipped, and will get some vaccines and then will be ready for their new homes at the end of May. Their adoption fees are $20 each. Yes, just twenty dollars for a puppy with much of his vet work already done.

Please contact his foster mom, Michelle by emailing mishellefrench@gmail.com for more information.

To apply to adopt one of Hope’s babies, please fill out an application. We cannot arrange meetings unless an application is filled out and approved. After that, a meeting can be arranged and the exact puppy can be picked. We promised Hope we would find great homes for each of her puppies. If one of those homes is yours, fill out an application!

Don't forget to complete an adoption application. Go to http://shelteredpaws.com/docs/Adoption_App_Form_2010.doc to download an Adoption Form Questionnaire. Upon completion, email the application back to spdr.app@shelteredpaws.com
