My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roxy is a sweet and gentle tortie-point Himalayan female that ended up at the shelter when her human had to go to a care facility. She was very stressed at the shelter and developed a bad bladder infection. Her time was almost up so Helping Persian Cats jumped to her rescue.
Her bladder infection has cleared up with medication and lots of TLC and she feels all better now. Roxy has also been diagnosed with beginning kidney insufficiency so she will need to be monitored for that regularly.

Roxy loves to be held and snuggle close. When you look into her beautiful blue eyes you can see how grateful she is to be safe. Roxy is learning to be with other cats and it seems that as long as they are friendly and respectful and introductions are slow she will be ok with them.
She loves to play with the laser light and she loves catnip.
Roxy's creases and eyes get dirty and crusty from her tears so it's important to clean her face every day. Her coat was shaved into a cute lion cut because she was very matted. It will need regular brushing as it grows out.

Roxy eats a mostly canned food diet which is better for her sensitive urinary system. She loves to eat and will remind you with meowing and looking for you when it's time to eat.

The ideal home for sweet Roxy would be a quiet, all adult home where she gets all the attention and can cuddle up close to you and give you kisses on your nose. She has a lot of love to give.
