Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dottie is an adorable boxer mix who is 55 pounds of pure love and snuggle. At about a year old, she still has young dog energy, and she's used to working it off with morning walks of one to two miles every day – longer on weekends. She also enjoys daily romps with her three foster siblings, and she gets along well with all other dogs she has met. Dottie still chews a little, so she needs exercise to work off some energy, and she needs to have appropriate chew toys available. Nylabones and antlers are her favorites, and she loves to play with a tennis ball - sometimes she even brings it back! In quiet times, Dottie snuggles with her people, lays her head in the nearest lap, and flops on her back for belly rubs. She is a very smart girl and knows to sit and wait before she eats, she knows where her toys are, and she is learning some basic obedience. She is housetrained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Dottie would love to have other dogs to play with, but she also would be a great only-dog companion for a moderately active family who can give her the attention and love she deserves.
For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.
Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
