Penny's Story...
Name: Penny
Color: Black and Tan
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
Gender: Female
Age: 4 Months
Penny is a happy little girl looking for a permanent, responsible home.
Big fan of: People and getting pet!
Not a fan of: Very young children as they can be overwhelming for her. Penny would do best in a home with children over 12 years old.
Special Features: It is mandatory that Penny be signed up for obedience classes before her adoption can be finalized. This will also help build her confidence and get her on her way to grow up into an all around, well behaved adult dog.
Dream Home: Penny does great with other dogs but would not be a good match for a senior dog, since she has so much puppy energy. She needs a home that can help her build confidence and become the fantastic little dog she is meant to be.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Bellingham Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
