My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maxwell is a border collie mix that needs a new home. He is mixed possibly with lab (sturdy with web feet). He was acquired from the shelter at four months old, and is now eleven months. As a working dog and puppy, he needs a home that can provide more attention that we are able. I walk him in the morning and night but he is home alone all day during the week until 6:00. He is so much calmer and happier when we are home on the weekends, being with people is something that he needs to keep him stimulated and balanced. He has been through two sessions of PetsMart training. He has classic border collie traits: he is super fast with darting moves that can make you dizzy; he is a great walker, good on the leash and with other dogs; and he appreciates a calm voice and gentle persistence, especially when being asked to release the newspaper, tv control or something he picked up off the ground during his stroll. He has powerful jaws that destroy his toys, but he is not destructive, especially for a puppy. He needs an assertive leader and a job to challenge his work ethic, and we had not expected this when we adopted. If you are interested in meeting Maxwell, please contact his owner.
