My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Folks, come and meet sweet, sweet Ted E. Bear – he is adorable and very loving!!! This handsome boy found himself at the local animal shelter and we have no idea why – so often families lose their homes and can’t keep their pets, maybe found as a stray and no one came to claim him, just don’t know. But a fabulous doggie rescuer/angel came along and found Ted E. sitting all alone in his kennel and fell in love with him and sprung him out to freedom and safety. This happy dog is now at a private foster’s home and is well….loved, and ready to find his new loving, permanent home – could that be you, we hope so!

Ted E. is a lovely chow/retriever mix, approximately six years old, weighs probably around 60 lbs., has been neutered and has his current vaccinations which include his distemper-parvo, rabies, and bordetella. Also, he has been seen by a vet for a “wellness check” and is in great health and physical shape.

This gorgeous boy has oh…..sooooo…..many fine qualities and is a very friendly pooch! Ted E. Bear is excellent on the leash (and of course loves to go on walks), he is crate-trained and believed to be house-trained (due to his age). We truly believe he was someone’s family pet previously. He is not a barker, very calm and mild-mannered. Ted E. Bear has been exposed to several dogs at the foster’s home and with no problems, and he enjoyed meeting a little tiny tot dog when at the park (watch his videos) – appears to be great with other dogs, don’t know about the kitties yet.

He is obedient, smart, and will “sit” on command with a little treat incentive. Ted E. deserves someone to love him and appreciate the chow breed. A fresh grooming has just been completed and he is ready to be adopted!!! Going somewhere, Ted E. rides excellent in the car - so be sure and take him with you.

His fabulous home will be an adult environment and be knowledgeable with chows. Please enjoy the short videos with this real live “Ted-E-Bear” and give us a call to meet this sweetheart!
