Initial Bio 05/20/14: Hey there! I'm Lincoln and today is a great day because I was rescued! Last week I was found wandering the streets of Chicago (35th and Western to be exact) and turned into Cook County Animal Control...a scary place where many dogs enter and never see the light of day again. No one knows where I came from and sadly, no one came looking for me. Today I saw a specialist because I have some obvious trauma to my left eye, possibly a tumor. Next week my eye will be removed and I will be relieved of the pressure that has built up and caused me to go blind. But the good news is my right eye is completely normal and I'll still be able to see all the wonderful things this world has to offer! Funny thing...my left ear stands up straight and my right ear flops down. It's as if my one ear is trying to compensate for my bad eye and my other ear is just taking it easy since my good eye does all the work! Foster mom has few clues about my age. Her guess is anywhere from 1 to 4 years old because my teeth are very clean and I do not have any age spots on my belly. I weigh 11 pounds, but could afford to gain a few more. Later in the week I will see the regular vet to receive a thorough check up and get some vaccinations. Eventually I will need to be neutered too. Foster mom says I am sweet and affectionate.
