HI my name is Layla and I haven't always looked this beautiful. A few weeks ago I felt miserable, my life wasn’t sunny and bright… pregnant and without a home. Can you imagine how I felt? And it wasn’t my fault! But either way, a nice family took me in and I could have my babies in their garage, 6 precious little babies. They were taken in by another rescue group and I came to You Lucky Dog rescue. I have to say I am really a Lucky Dog! They took care of my heart worm treatment, I got all the shots I needed and they also made sure that I don’t have to worry about having babies anymore (and that’s a huge relief for me)! All the worries about what will happen to my babies and where they will end up… no dog should be that worried, it’s a terrible feeling.
I went into a foster home and live now with three “brothers” and one “sister”. Let me tell you, one of them is sooo big that I was afraid to even pass him. But he turned out to be a nice guy. He is too old for playing, but either way once in a while I bump into him just to see the look on his face. My foster sister is also an old lady, so no playtime with her either. Sometimes she plays a little bit with me, but after just a few minutes she has to take a nap… that’s so boring. The other brother is a jerk and has to live behind a gate in the kitchen and dining room area. He barks and growls at me, but I just ignore him and his rude behavior. I think he is jealous because my foster mom really loves me, and we cuddle a lot and I give her a lot of kisses. Did I mention that I have my own room? I have my food bowls in there (I love lunch and dinner and breakfast and snacks) and also a crate and a bed. I use both for sleeping and also don’t mind when I have to be in the crate but usually I am free like a bird in the house because I have really good house manners. The third brother is a cat and don’t tell anybody but he is my favorite. He is so nice and fluffy. I can stick my nose and mouth in his fur (preferable in the belly area) and give him a good kick and then when he pretends to give me a punch with his paws I am sooo fast that he cannot catch me. But he is also lazy, he sleeps so much and even when I bark at him he does not wake up! I am only 1.5 year old, still a puppy, right? And I need somebody to play with, could that be you?!

Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
