My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Bear. Right now I am a tiny boy puppy and weigh just 5 lbs. But let me tell you my story: I was born with 7 brothers and sisters in an abandoned house off Lamar Avenue in Memphis. My Mom, who's very smart, hid us all behind a low wall under this house so that when we got old enough to walk we would not wander out from our hiding place. (I know because I tried one day while my Mom was out looking for food. She was always hungry, she said.) One day Mom, who is a lovely blonde lab mix, left us for a long time and I got very scared. But because Mom had always taken good care of us we trusted that she would not abandon us and so we waited patiently and did not try to leave the corner she had chosen to hide us in. A whole night passed. I was afraid without her warm body to snuggle up to. Without her we huddled together and the next day, just as we hoped, Mom (whose name is Sheba) returned and, to our great surprise, brought a human lady with her. The lady picked us all up and took usin a big noisy machine to a different house. She gave us little lumps to eat which she called puppy food, and cleaned us and gave us a box to sleep in. I had never seen a human lady before so it was exciting. At first it felt very strange but I looked at how our Mother acted toward the human lady and decided to love her like we loved our Mom. Although we do not know who my Daddy was we think he was a big dog so I'll probably we 50 to 70 lbs. when I grown up. My Mom says I'm very handsome. She even said I could play with the funny animal called a cat that lives in my new house.

Now, our Mom has told us that we need to go to our own forever homes where we will meet other human people and even get a human family of our very own to love.

Bear is just a few months old. He will be ready to be adoped on June 10, after he's had his 2nd set of puppy shots. The $250.00 adoption fee covers all shots, deworming (several times), neuter when he's 6 months old and microchip. You will be asked to sign a Spay/Neuter Contract and bring him back to us for his neuter and additional shots on the specified dates. A fenced yard and vet reference are required.

To meet Baby Bear please email Jennifer and request an Adoption Application, at jjazzette11@aol.com, or call 901-831-3935. Please give this darling baby a forever home.
