Toby's Story...
Please contact Judy at judythump@sbcglobal.net or 913.383.1584 to find out more about TOBY. Toby goes to off-sight adoptions at the Petsmart Store at 115th & Metcalf. Toby is an adorable silver tabby male kitten born about March 17, 2014 to a sweet young Lynx pt Siamese mom, who is also in foster care with HAHS. Toby and his brother, Mack, are typical playful and active kittens who love to explore their environment. Toby is a talker who loves human attention and now is starting to like being cuddled. He is a classic tabby and most likely is going to grown up to be a stunning adult cat. He is litter box trained and has been using scratching post toys so should be easily trained. He can be adopted with his brother, Mack, or should do okay with another companion animal.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
