Bambi's Story...
Meet Bambi!

Bambi is a 1 - 1 1/2 years young, spayed/female chihuahua mix. She is about 8-10 lbs of pure joy! Bambi was brought to the South LA Animal Shelter after being badly hit by a car - she suffered multiple fractures. Fortunately, everything healed after several months of cage-rest and What's Up Dog! LA was able to rescue her. Bambi underwent FHO surgery (hip surgery) a few weeks ago to alleviate any hip pain and she is nearly 100% recovered! You would never know such a happy-go-lucky and loving pup ever experienced so much pain and heartache.

Bambi LOVES all people and other dogs and is an excellent cuddler. She loves to frolic around the yard and enjoys short walks and is pretty easy-going. If you are interested in adopting Bambi, please visit www.whatsupdogla.com/adopt to complete our online adoption questionnaire.

Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bambi, a Los Angeles Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
