My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake is a handsome black Labrador Retriever mix and is two years old (as of June 2014). He is a very gentle dog who loves attention and affection. Jake is a loyal companion on long, daily walks around the dog park trail. He is with our southern partner shelter and he enjoyed time in the shelter yard, where he is learning to play with toys. Most of all, Jake enjoys being close by your side for quality cuddle time. He will also roll over for belly rubs. One look at his warm brown eyes will win your heart! Jake does well with people and also loves to play with other dogs. Jake was tested with cats and ignored them, and jumped back when one meowed at him. We don't know about his behavior with children, but he is so shy right now that we think he'd just be afraid.

Jake needs some work on his confidence and will only be considered to go into a home with another dog already present.
