This dog has been in THE RED DOG PROJECT, a prison rehabilitation program managed by Dog Days Adoption Events, Inc. The program consists of fostering with inmate handlers and learning the basics of all around good behavior, potty training and interacting with other dogs.

Lucy is a four year old lab mix. She LOVES the water and loves to run!

• A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference.
• If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property.
• Red Dog Project volunteers will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters either on the phone or at the weekend event. As a policy, dogs are adopted to the best home, not the first application.
• If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time.

GENERAL VETERINARY CARE:
I have been:
~ spayed/neutered
~ microchipped (usually but not always)
~ dewormed
~ heatworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older)
~ up to date on all age appropriate shots
~ treated with a flea preventative
Lucy has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian and all medical records will come with the adoption papers as well as notes from Lucy's dog handler.
ADOPTION FEES
Adoption fee is $385 and includes all vetting listed above.
