My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pippa Longstocking is a lovely young lass who desperately needs out of the shelter. She is believed to be partially deaf, so she is very confused in the shelter. Pippa is extremely loving and would thrive in a quiet place where she can just be with her human. Even a foster home would be wonderful, so she can get out of the shelter. In the long term, she will need more specialized training than a hearing dog. She was surrendered because the children in the home did not know how to handle her. She was very scared when she first arrived at the shelter, and it took her a little time to trust. She likely will need some time to adjust to her new home as well. Once she trusts you she just wants to be right next to you and will even try to climb in your lap! She is a little nervous when meeting other dogs but quickly gets excited and wants to play.

She is currently residing at the Whatcom County Shelter, but arrangements can be made to get her down this way. If you can offer a place for this girl, even as a foster home, that would be fantastic!
