My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING - for private Rescuer-Foster

Meet Chief! Chief is a beautiful, neutered male, approx. 5 years old (95 lbs) looking for a Forever Home.

Chief is a fun loving, goofy and happy boy who gets along beautifully with dogs, kids, and adult humans.

His ideal people would be home a lot, have at least one playful dog (the more the merrier), and be willing to help him resolve a bit of anxiety initially. A sense of humor would also come in handy.

This is one social (and soft hearted) guy who would love nothing more than to explore the world with his people. He does not bark but will sing up a storm with his dog buddies in the early morning.

While he has not been extensively tested with cats, he is uninterested in them on walks and doesn't exhibit a strong prey drive, so he may be workable with management and slow introductions.

Chief prefers to be outdoors and patrolling the property, of which acreage is preferable unless you have as much of a willingness to spend hours walking about like he does every day. Fencing does need to be secure, and at least 7' in height although 6' with jump guards will likely be acceptable. Dig guards will also be necessary to deter escape attempts in any yard he will be left in for long periods of time unattended.

Chief is a courtesy listing for a private rescue individual. For more information about him, please reach out to Robin at calmcompanions@hotmail.com with any questions
