Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Elliot's "mommy" became to ill to stay in her own home and had to move. Elliot could not go along. He tried living with a relative, but was left all alone during the day. Elliot had never experienced being totally alone and became scared and nervous. So Elliott now lives with many other dogs, who like him, are looking for a "forever" home.
Elliot's first order of business after coming to live with us was to learn how to eat dog food. His "Mommy" spoiled him rotten and fed him whatever she ate. Unfortunately, his eating habits showed in his waist line! Elliot is now learning that eating dog food is preferred to being hungry when the "mean" rescue lady won't feed him human food. Also, his "overly round" appearance is evolving into a more lean and healthier young pup.
Elliot is believed to be a Collie / Brittany mix and is approx 2 years old. He is housebroken, doggy door trained, crate trained and negative for heartworm, tick and lyme diseases. He loves kids and all people and would make a nice companion for any family. He may need another dog (preferrably a female dog) if he is going to be left alone for long periods of time. He is now also crate trained, which he was not before.
If you are interested in learning more about Elliot or setting up a meeting, contact wannadoggy@cox.net or call 602-501-1844 after 4 pm. Elliot's adoption donation is $140
which helps us cover vet expenses for him and other dogs in the rescue.
