My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trixi is a sweet Australian Shepherd, Brittany Spaniel mix, approx 4 yrs old surrendered by her owner. He felt he was doing her an injustice by not spending enough time with her.

Trixi is very sweet, gentle and well mannered. She is the ideal foster and will make someone a wonderful companion. Trixi loves people, kids, other dogs and loves to play. She likes to give little licks on on your ears. Trixi loves the out-doors going camping, hiking and on walks.

Trixi is intelligent and has a very soft demeanor; simply saying 'no' in a strong tone is enough to re-direct her. Trixie understands 'Off' and 'No'. She loves people and loves positive feedback and attention. She will come when called by name and will come when whistled for. She is house trained and will stand or stare at / by the door to go out ; but also knows how to use the dog door. She will not jump on furniture unless invited.

Trixi is spay, micro-chipped, up to date on her shots., and tested negative for heartworm, tick and lyme diseases. She weighs around 40 lbs. Trixie gets very excited when she sees a cat so a "no cat" home would probably be best.

Trixie needs to be with a family that has time for her; daily exercise, interaction and love. She will make a great addition to any family. Her adoption donation is $200 which helps us feed and vet other dogs coming into the rescue.
