Hi there. My name is Katniss. I am about 3 years old and I weigh about 20 lbs.
I was surrendered to the pound after my owner had passed away. My owner was in the "meat dog" business, but thankfully for me, I was one of his house dogs.
I am a very sweet and loving but shy and timid little girl. If you're sitting down, I will come right over to you and let you pet me and love me. You can even pick me up and hold me. When you're standing up I get very frightened and I will run away from you.
I get along great with other dogs and I like kids, sometimes even more than the big people. They're more my size and tend to scare me less.
I will do great in a quiet home. I do fine in the office here at the pound. I mostly spend my day hanging out on the doggy bed in here.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JUNE 9, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO. I WILL BE GOING TO THE PITTSBURGH VET TECH INSTITUTE 6/19/14 TO BE SPAYED AND GET MY RABIES VACCINE. I WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP UNTIL 12 PM 6/27/14 AS THAT IS THE DAY I WILL RETURN FROM BEING SPAYED. I CAN BE ADOPTED PRIOR TO THIS, I JUST CANNOT LEAVE THE SHELTER YET.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
