Splash's Story...
Splash is an 11 week old puppy that was found on the side of a highway with his siblings and brought to our rescue since that parish didn't have animal control to take them in. Splash is in a foster home and has had his first vaccination. His quarantine just ended and he will be getting his second vaccine this week and is available for adoption. He's playful, curious, happy, and social. Adoption fee is $150.00 for this pet. This generally includes age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, a wellness exam, dewormer, fecal, hw and flea preventative that is given while in our care, microchip and sometimes registration depending on the company, as well as any other medications or procedures needed while in our care. email raesance@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Splash, a Metairie German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie for sale in Metairie, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Metairie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metairie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metairie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metairie paves the way for another one to be saved.
