Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Demi is definitely petite, just like a demi-tasse of espresso, and has the energy too, We are certain she is nearly 100% MinPin but she has a bit of an underbite and so we are wondering if she's part Pug or Shih Tzu??? The jury is still out. Regardless, this little girl is full of life, joy and happy antics.
Demi is absolutely wonderful with other dogs, small and large, gets along with our cat, and is crate trained. She could use some manners on leash but it's just a matter of time before she's great on walks. There is not much more you could ask for in a little girl like her. She so very entertaining with her toys that it's hard not to get caught up in her joy.
Demi is looking for a family and home that has a lot of love to give but doesn't expect her to be a cuddler. She would be great on walks and would do great with other dogs in the house. She would also like her family to know that she will only bark when there is something to truly bark at, or when she desperately needs out of her crate in the morning.
If you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting Demi please go to our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org, and click on Adoption Process where you can read about what we need from you and find the link for our application.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and is found under Resources. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
