Winda's Story...
Winda is a lovey girl who just wants someone to follow around. She is fine with other dogs but does not require their company and does not enjoy the companionship of larger dogs. She is only slightly shy of strangers and warms up quickly. She walks great on a leash, rides well in the car, is crate trained but does not love it. She loves all people and is great with children. She likes to be brushed and would love someone who was free to spend lots of time with her. She would not make a good apartment dog as she suffers from mild separation anxiety and will whine and bark when left alone. Winda is around 13 pounds and 2 years old. If you are interested in Winda and would like to meet her, please fill out her online application at www.secondchancesalem.org Her adoption fee is $350.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winda, a Salem Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Salem, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
