My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Felix, a sweet, friendly and affectionate cat born around January 2014. He’s mostly laid-back and calm, and likes to curl up next to his humans during nap time. If it’s cold, he’ll burrow under the covers. He loves to be petted, and has a purr like a motor. Once he gets to know you, he’ll even try to lick your fingers with his raspy tongue (it’s not very pleasant, but you don’t want to hurt his feelings!). He’s very well behaved, but does have a slight mischievous streak. He has a penchant for stealing rubber bands and hair ties if you leave them out, chewing them and crooning over them. He’s quite low maintenance, and would do fine in either a single or multi-cat home. Felix has seen a cardiologist for a heart murmur but is not on any medication.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
