My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On June 19, 2014, Candy was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Candy is being trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

You should want Candy! She's a super affectionate 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. Candy came from another facility so her history is not known. She's not real thrilled to be in her cage but once out she's happy to have your attention. This sweetheart walks well on a leash and seems fine with the other dogs. Once she returns from the prison program Candy will not only be sweet...she'll be trained too!

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.

PLEASE: If you put in an adoption application on a prison dog and find another dog before they return, please inform Friendship.
