THIS IS MS. FIONA....a happy, 4 yr old, b/w, 12.8 lb, Shih Tzu/Maltese ? mix, who hails from the West LA shelter. She sat there for over a week and nobody took her home. She is such a joyful dog, who just wants to be loved, that we couldn't leave her there....even though her breed is a bit of a mystery. It is very difficult taking picture of black dogs, especially when they are chubby, but Fiona's personality comes thru these! She is playful, has great energy, seems to be potty trained (but no guarantees) and wants to be with you! Although she is quiet and could be home a couple of hours alone....she bonds very quickly and would rather be in a home where there is another dog for her to bond to. Fiona will chase after toys...but she isn't sure what to do with them. She just arrived so we're sure she'll figure it out...she is very smart. Fiona could go to most any home, except one where she would be left alone during the day. We don't know how she ended up in the shelter, but she seemed to be well cared for -- actually a little too well cared for!! She needs to lose a pound or two and she will be perfection! To us, she is already perfect!! Wouldn't you like to see for yourself??

We currently hold our weekly adoption events every Sunday (unless we are doing a special event) at the WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY MALL located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City, Los Angeles 90067. Enter off Santa Monica Blvd and park in the ORANGE section in the parking structure. Take the escalator up and follow the signage. We will be located near the Brooks Brothers (look for the purple tent in the Plaza between the two buildings) from 12 - 4PM
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
