Adoption Information: Our dog and cat adoptions are held every Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm at our building, located at 6357 Quinn Dr in Baton Rouge, LA, near the Old Jefferson and Tiger Bend intersection. Hi, I’m Cooper. I’m a big boy with pretty coloring, but I’m not sure if I had handle all the attention it gets! I’ve been in a foster home with other kitties, so I love to be around my fur-friends. However, I’m not so sure about little human friends—maybe older ones who can show me proper attention. If you want the attention of a beauty like me, you gotta show me that you’re worth it—pets, baby talk, and lots of treats should do!

The adoption fee for our animals is $125.

Our adoption center is at 6357 Quinn Dr. right at the Old Jefferson and Tiger Bend intersection, close to Airline at Siegen/Sherwood Forest area. Normal adoption hours for Dogs are from 12:00pm to 3:00pm every Saturday. Cats are by appointment only.

The Capital Area Animal Welfare Society is a non-profit organization committed to the well-being of animals in the Baton Rouge community by adopting homeless animals, teaching the community responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals, and promoting the practice of spay/neuter at all times. Our ultimate goal is to have Baton Rouge be a model in the South where all adoptable animals find loving homes.
