OOOO..LA...LALA...MMMM...DUM...DUM....OOO: I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight...ohhhh..yeah. Remember this song from the great, one and only, goddess of folk and country—Emmylou Harris? Well, then, you remember my namesake. She had so many great hits, so I looked up her “discography” on my iPad. Those Ahimsa iPads come in so handy. I’m always looking up the breed of the newcomers to Ahimsa on my iPad. Strangest: Bassett Hound/Chihuahua. Cutest little battleship I’ve ever seen!
Anyway.......back to my beloved Emmylou. So many are song titles in her discography (!) are relevant to Animal Rescue, like “If I Could Only Win Your Love,” “One of These Days,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Making Believe.” It just goes on and on. My rescue name was meant to be. I am so proud.....now all I need are my BFFs Dolly and Linda to join me (only Emmylou fans will get this.....do you?). I am considered a sweetie pie here at Ahimsa. The volunteers fight to hold me, pet me, play with me, stroke me, feed me treats. I hear a lot of: EMMMMMMMYYYYY...LOOOOOUUUUUU! COME TO MAMA! I have a fascinating multi-colored coat—I will stand out in the dog park. First, my color, but also the groupies who will be surrounding me asking me to sing and give them an autograph.
