Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chloe is a sweetie pie! She was found as a stray in Southern Indiana , and is estimated to be a little over a year old, and about 45 lbs. She adores people and is very friendly with other dogs. Chloe tries to play with nearly every dog she meets, sometimes throwing herself to the ground in an attempt to get some fun wrestling started! She has a medium energy level: she loves to run around her foster home’s fenced-in yard, chasing squirrels playing with her toys, and sniffing everything in her bath. Due to her love of being outside, she would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard (or electric fence). Although she has a good energy level, she has no problem joining you for an afternoon nap.
Chloe is friendly with everyone, but may not be best-suited for a home with small children, as she is still learning not to jump up on people. She met some cats for the first time at a recent adoption event, and seems to be friendly with them. After giving them a thorough sniff while wagging her tail, she moved on to interacting with the other dogs and people around.
Chloe LOVES toys! I think she has dragged out and played with just about every dog toy in the house! She is house-trained and crate-trained, and knows “sit.” Chloe does occasionally get into some mischief (such as chewing on socks she finds on the floor) but she easily gives up any “treasure” she may have found. She sleeps through the night and loves to snuggle up in the bed.
Chloe rides nicely in the car, but does get car sick. We’ve had luck giving her some over-the-counter medicine to help with car sickness on short trips-so far she’s had success during car trips of 20 minutes or less. Some dogs grow out of this, but there’s no way to be sure. So, she may not be the best fit for someone looking for a dog to take on road trips.
Chloe is current on vaccinations, has been spayed and will come with a microchip certificate. If you feel Chloe would be a good fit for your family, please contact Bonnie at 630-750-1123. Her adoption fee is $200. http://youtu.be/huC16ZMhtbo
