Chica's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY POST FOR A LEG UP RESCUE. PLEASE GO TO THERE WEBSITE AT ALEGUPRESCUE.ORG AND COMPLETE AN ON LINE APPLICATION FOR THIS DOG.

Meet the most wonderfully perfect female 4 ½ lb Chihuahua with a little mix of Pug thrown in. This is Chica. Not only is Chica adorable but she is extremely loving with all people and children. She has only been with us a short time but she has shown that she can fit in just about anywhere. She gets along with all the dogs she has met, however she has only been around small dogs. She hasn’t played with them but she is in a large pack right now so she might be a little intimidated. Chica is a LAP DOG. Do not apply for this dog unless you want a little lap warmer. She loves attention and loves to follow you everywhere and she loves to be spoiled. She is completely house broken, is quiet as a mouse in her crate but would much prefer a human bed. She has been spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccines. Our vet thinks Chica is about 2-3 years old. She is a little iffy with cats. She chases the cat in her foster home when she runs but sniffs her when she is laying down. With training we think she would be fine. Especially since she is half the size of most cats. We don’t expect Chica to last long so get those applications in quick. She is a complete ham and full of silliness.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chica, a Vacaville Chihuahua/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pug for sale in Vacaville, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pug dog from a breeder in Vacaville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vacaville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vacaville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pug breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vacaville paves the way for another one to be saved.
