My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

O Hazel....that face! This darling Ingenue was just surrendered to us by an owner, who had no time to care for her. Hazel was headed to City Animal Control to face an uncertain fate, when our friend, Jodie, became aware of her circumstances and offered to intervene. Jodie arranged the surrender so that we could pick her up and spare her the shelter intake process. Hazel has a sweet, curious nature, and she is interested in everything that goes on around her. She looks to her handler for direction and craves human touch.

Just six months old, Hazel is ready to start a fantastic new life with an active single, couple, or family who can devote the time to raising a spirited youngster. Hazel would be a super family dog, good with kids, other dogs and cats.

Hazel appears to be a mix of Terrier breeds, most likely Schnauzer and Wire Hair varieties. Her coat has a soft, yet rough, texture and is shaded in beautiful ivorHazel is a blank slate for obedience work. She is ripe for puppy kindergarten and is highly treat motivated. We recommend that adopters start Hazel immediately an a formal obedience program, and continue her on the road to Canine Good Citizenship. She has responded nicely to the puppy basics, and has great potential to shine in a formal training program.

Hazel is still quite the pup, and although she is extremely sweet and mild mannered, she is capable of the usual puppy hijinks if left unsupervised. She is mostly house trained, but adopters should fine tune this process, and be patient with Hazel while she adjusts to a new routine. She is crate trained, so adopters will be able to use this tool to assist the process.

Hazel is in excellent health and is spayed. She is vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, and is dewormed. She has tested negative for Heartworm, Lyme, Earlichia and Anaplasmosis. If you are interested in Hazel, call Denise at 720-903-0636 or email denise@eskiesonline.com.y and mocha tones. Her eyes are striking green hazel, and she has a cute pink nose and eye rims. Hazel weighs about 20 pounds and will grow into her puppy paws a bit. Her ideal weight should round out to about 25 to 27 pounds.
