Thunder is an absolutely awesome one year old black lab. He is a beautiful boy at a solid 78 pounds. Thunder is in a wonderful Lucky Lab Rescue foster home now after he was confiscated by a rural shelter in a neglect case. He is doing great and living the life he was meant to live. He does well with everyone he meets - men, women and children. Thunder is still a pup and loves to play and sometimes he can play a little too rough for very young children, but he is very trainable and intelligent. so this could be corrected. He knows sit, stay, down and paw commands and he waits when a door is opened for the command ok to exit/enter. He really is a great boy with that young boy energy and loves romping with his foster canine buddy. Thunder loves to catch and play fetch with tennis balls. Words from his foster mom, "He doesn't jump on people when someone approaches him. He would do wonderfully with some guidance/obedience training programs as he is so intelligent and learns the normal commands easily. Thunder is very affectionate and just wants a good belly run and to be loved. He goes to the backdoor and rings a bell (which I taught him) when he needs to go outside. However, he loves to be outside, so at times he just wants to go outside to play." Thunder would be a great companion for just about any home and would love nothing more than to have a family of his own. He does well on a leash and loves to go for walks, is housebroken and crate trained. Thunder has been neutered, is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped.
