Max's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Max's Story...
Big Max is a big love. He's also got a pretty big weight problem. We love spoiling our dogs, but this sweet guy had someone spoil him a little too much for his own good and now he desperately needs to shed some extra weight.

Weighing in at around 145 lbs, Max is looking for a loving home willing to walk him regularly while closely watching his diet and activity. Until he loses more weight, lots of short, slow walks are best. Exercising in a pool, river or lake would be a dream come true for this boy since his poor joints can't take much running until he slims down a bit. So if you love heading to the water, Max is your man.

Max is pretty picky about other dogs and would do best as an only dog, but he has been around cats and would probably be okay matched with a feline companion or two as long as it's slow and supervised.

Max is housetrained, neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. We know this beautiful man will quickly return to his healthy, spunky self with the right person, so please come say hello to our big marshmallow man.
max adoption fee is $160 since he is over six months old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Jackson Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
