My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MOLLY is a 2 year old chocolate spayed female who weighs 56 pounds. She's a very sweet and beautiful girl. She would love to find a family that will give her the love, attention, and exercise that she deserves. She just wants to play- but in her previous home she was just used for breeding purposes only. Molly has lived in an outdoor kennel during the day and was crated at night. She seems to be crate trained as she doesn't have accidents in her crate. She is great with other dogs and may enjoy the company of another young and active dog. Molly would benefit from attending a formal training class since she has never had any formal training. Molly is approved for kids aged 7 and up, as she has lived with young kids and is great with them!

Update (7/15): Molly loves people, especially kids. We had friends over yesterday and they had a 12 year old girl who she followed around everywhere. She needs slow introduction to other dogs. She and the resident female are playing, but she wants and takes her toys from her. She needs training but seems to be a quick learner. She also loves the fish pond. She loves to play fetch and brings the ball back to you. Molly is a very energetic young lady. She will chase anything that moves, butterflies, birds, balls, bunnies. Molly is very responsive to praise and touch. Of course she is highly food motivated but gets a little too excited when treats are present. Molly just wants to be #1 in your life and begs for playtime and attention. Molly likes other dogs but needs to be introduced carefully. No nose to nose introductions, and she should meet in a low stress, neutral place. We have followed the guidelines on the Lab Rescue Website for introducing her to new dogs, and we've been successful. After getting to know our dog, she followed her into the pond and now loves to cool off by throwing a ball into it and going in and fetching it.

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.
