My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BO is a 9 year old yellow neutered male who weighs 87 pounds. He's a great dog who likes everyone he meets, he is easy going and friendly. Comes up to you and sits, then looks up to you as if to ask 'what do you want me to do?' Bo deserves a good home where he will give his adopters love and be a super companion. He good with dogs, very well trained, knows and obeys commands. Very good on and off lead. House trained and can be left alone without problems. He is approved for kids aged 4+.

Update (7/14): Bo is a pretty mellow, go with the flow kinda guy who is very friendly, has spurts of energy, and settles easily wherever he is. He really enjoys human interaction so might do best in a house where someone is home more than not. He is not a clingy dog, but does like to hang out around his humans and/or canine housemates; especially likes it when you talk to him. He will sit and wag his tail at you to keep up his end of the conversation. He is great with other dogs and kids and likes to stop and let one of the neighborhood cats rub all over him when we see him out on our walks. He's discovered the squeaky toys and plays with them several times a day; may bring me one for a short game of tug of war, or a ball for a quick toss or two (not to far and doesn't play too long). Bo enjoys walks a few times a day and hanging on the front porch at night to watch (and visit) the kids that might be out. Has done well with any other dogs he's met in the neighborhood or at the beach. He does swim a few laps in the pool, but really seems to prefer to hang out on the second step and cool off up to his belly - doesn't like to get his ears wet. Ride is a magic word (as is dinner), and he would love to go on errands with you in the car; rides easily. Bo is fully house trained and can be left alone without any worries, hasn't gotten on any furniture, and knows all his commands, go both on and off leash. Loves to get belly rubs and ear/neck rubs and would enjoy being the official greeter of the house. Bo is fine with stairs and is looking to be someone's companion.

Update (6/22): Bo has been with me a week now. Here's a bit more about him: 9 yo, good with other dogs, completely indifferent to the 2 dog savvy cats he's met; very laid back mellow guy who enjoys walks. He's become the official self-appointed greeter of the house and has introduced himself to most of the neighbors. Great on & off leash. Plays some with tennis balls n toys and is approved for 4 and up. Is ever hopeful for a car ride, butt scratches n belly rubs. Great temperament & knows his commands. He's quickly become my favorite foster with his charming personality.

Update (6/19): :Bo is a very easy dog to have around and likes when you talk to him. He has a bit of energy about him and likes to say hello to everyone he meets (human and canine). He has become the self-appointed welcoming committee for the house. He gets along great with other dogs, seems especially fond of children and will let me know if any happen to be outside riding their bikes so I will let him out to say hello. He’s met a couple of dog savvy cats and was completely indifferent to them. When it’s time to eat, Bo sits politely and then waits to be released to eat his food.

Bo has been closely watching the resident pup and has picked up on the fact that it’s ok to sit close by and stare intently when the humans are eating, as that gets you a nibble. He’s also learned that if you lay on the tile hallway and wag your tail or roll over as the human passes, you get belly rubs. Has also learned from the resident hound that mom likes help in the kitchen, especially when cheese is involved in the meal.

Update (6/17): Foster Mom was having beach withdrawal so we got to go to the beach this morning. It was FUN. Then, power went out for a long time so FM couldn't work & it was hot, so we got to go swimming. I like water but wasn't too sure about the pool so I wore a vest. I think next time, I won't need one. Xoxo Bo
