Hi, my name is Guy. I am a 3 year old, Pekingese/Tibetan Spaniel mix, neutered, up to date on my shots, heart worm negative, have good teeth (although I am missing one tooth right in the middle of my grin which just adds to my character) and ready to delight and love you when you adopt me into your home. I was found wandering on the side of a country road in Southampton, Virginia. I was taken to the shelter. I was tired and my leg hurt, so I just rested and waited two long weeks - but my people did not show up to claim me. This lovely lady got in touch with ECADR in my area and my foster Mom took over.
I weigh 12-1/2 pounds, am very well behaved, house broken (will go to a pad if I am left too long), am trained to walk on a leash, get along really well with other dogs and do my best to comfort them when they are stressed. One little girl in my foster pack got upset when she had a bath, I licked her and helped her get dry. One of the other boys gets drops in his eyes every day - I keep check and make sure he is OK.
As you can see I am a handsome fellow, small of stature and big of heart. I only get on the furniture if you pick me up. I like to lie beside you, roll over, and get belly rubs. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THOSE BELLY RUBS! My foster Mom has found that if you lightly blow on my ears I will give you a kiss. I LOVE to lay upside down in your arms, drop my head over to the side and lick anyone who happens to go by; it's a really fun game! I like to play keep away with soft toys and will play fetch. Sometimes I will chase you when the mood strikes. Everything is FUN, FUN, FUN!
My foster Mom says she would love to keep me, but she already has 4 rescues of her own and says I need a home that someone can give me lots of love - and believe me, I'll give as much as I get! I’m being fostered in Suffolk, VA, and my asking adoption fee is $295.
