Midge's Story...
Midge is a really sweet dog, walks well on the leash, loves to cuddle, is good in the car. She is very high energy so we will request her new home participate in a training program. She would be a great agility dog or running companion with some training. She loves people and being around them. She loves to fetch and actually brings the ball back to you!

She does well with cats and other dogs.

She is about a year old, current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is 100.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Midge, a Portland Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
