A number of years ago Joe went home to live with a female dog and he thought it was forever. Things were going just fine until new baby was born and was deathly allergic to both dogs. Newborn was at risk so Joe came back to BRLA to find a home where he was not a health threat to his owners. He is a tank of a Boxer with a beautiful face and strong build. He is powerful, not walked much at home but is doing wonderful with BRLA volunteers.
SENIOR FEATURE JOE: Joe’s initial intake to BRLA dates back to 2009. Our super sweet boy was immediately adopted. Fast forward a few years. Adoptive family has a new baby. So exciting for our young family… not so exciting for Joe. New baby developed allergies and Joe (along with other resident dog) had to find new homes.
Through not fault of his own, Joe came back to BRLA. Now a Senior, Joe is in need of his forever home. As it happens with some older Boxers, Joe had a few lumps. Joe visited our amazing BRLA vet where the lumps were removed. Great news, Joe has a clean bill of health! Joe is a very sweet boy who knows many commands – and he loves to “high five”. Joe has perfect leash manners. He’s got the cutest monkey face, loves kids and some dogs.
Kennel life is especially hard on our Seniors. Please consider providing Joe with what every Senior Boxer deserves, a home of his own!
