Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kai embodies so much about what is wonderful about dogs (and also a little bit about why some dogs need a special home). She is a three year old mix (likely pit bull/Doberman and a few others) and is one of the most beautiful dogs we have ever seen. Her eyes carry so much emotion and love that it is easy to understand her thoughts.
Kai is both super energetic and amazingly cuddly. She loves endlessly chasing sticks into the water and spending time with her family on the couch. Kai loves to play, loves to please and loves to be included. But Kai is also a sensitive dog – she is very nervous about being left alone and would benefit from a family with a regular schedule. Kai is easy to love and openly returns her emotions. She would thrive in a home that will provide a secure, supportive environment.
*Kai has had arthritis in rear leg joints since she was several months old, and so we keep her to short runs and walks. Loves running around off leash but it used to trigger her to feel pretty sore afterwards. Now that she has a couple years under her belt, she doesn’t push herself as much and just lies down when she’s tired (unless she’s retrieving sticks in the water, and then she never stops!).
