Diega's Story...
Diego here, tall, chocolate and handsome, why you must be talking about me! I am a happy and social boy who is happiest hanging out with his people. I love spending time playing outdoors and going for walks and hikes. Toys and treats are good and I think I am going to like lounging in the kiddie pools on those really hot summer days. I am full grown and weigh in at about 50 pounds. Looking at me folks guess I have some Retriever and maybe a collie breed mixed in my family tree. I am eager to investigate new things and make new friends. I am an adult rescue so I am looking for a home with older kids or maybe some adults looking for a new life partner. I am looking forward to building our new life together, let's join obedience class and learn how to play fetch like a well oiled machine!
Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diega, a Gloucester Collie/Redtick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Redtick Coonhound for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Collie/Redtick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Redtick Coonhound breeders who help with Collie/Redtick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
