I am a female, spayed, microchipped, 5 years old Fox Terrier Wirehaired/Jack Russell Mix looking for my forever loving home. My rescuer saved me from South LA Shelter in time. Since then I am living in loving care of a foster home. My foster mom says I am happy and playful and I like to burrow under the blanket. I get along with most dogs and like playing or chilling with them. I am timid with new persons to meet and need to gain trust, once I warmed up with a person I trust -
is a never ending love story. I will curl up in your lap and never get tired of cuddling. To help mastering the introduction situation, you will need patience and as I heard and my tummy will approve, there is such as a recommended magic treat to make the contact easier - CHEESE.
I am an All American Girl - I will tell you something - I love All American Cheese. Once reached this level of love and trust - offering a cheese treat to and I take it gently from your hand, I will start to show my lap dog qualities, which some people already know - those I love and trust - it is forever and even when I meet these particular people only at times, like a couple weeks in a year - I name them friends and dog lovers - especially me!
Sounds complicated? No I am not! I learned through the school of hard knocks - there is no other way than trying to love and trust again in humans - the same species who surrendered me to the shelter with an embedded collar on my neck - because they cared so very much about my well-being (sarcasm). I don't like small children. Initial introduction to older children, school-aged and above, need to be handled with care, this is related by best guess, to bad experiences with children before I was rescued. I am not good with traveling because I get easily car sick, once arrived I am better soon.
Yours with a happy tailwag!
