Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Attention! MORGAN Here!
I am a female, spayed, microchipped, 7.5 years old Fox Terrier Wirehaired/Jack Russell Mix looking for my forever loving home. My rescuer saved me from South LA Shelter in time. Since then I am living in loving care of a foster home. My foster mom says I am happy and playful, like to burrow under the blankets. I get along with most dogs and like playing or chilling with them. I am timid with new persons to meet. I am best suited in a family with retired persons living in a calm environment, few visitors and no children. Until I warm up with new arrivals like visitors, it is safe to crate me, once proper introductions are made I can meet the people. A fenced yard to keep my adopter family and me safe is required. I will need a little time until I warm up, then I am the living proof of a lapdog as well as a family member loving your attention any time of day and night. I will curl up in your lap and never get tired of cuddling. To help through the introduction part, you will need patience and there is such as a recommended magic treat to make the contact easier - CHEESE - which my tummy will approve! I am an All American Girl - I love All American Cheese. Once worked though the introduction and my warming up, offer a cheese treat to me and I will take it gently from your hand. I will start to show my lap dog qualities, which some people already know - those I love - it is forever and even when I meet these particular people only at times, like a couple weeks in a year - I name them friends and dog lovers - especially me!
Sounds complicated? No I am not. I learned through the school of hard knocks - there is no other way than trying to love and trust again in humans - the same species who surrendered me to the shelter with an embedded collar on my neck... Due to bad experiences in my past life chapter there should be no children, they scare me. I would love a place to call home and will be fine while my family is doing errands for a couple hours. I don't like much traveling because I get car sick and that is not much fun. I get well soon after arrival.
Yours with a happy tailwag!
MORGAN
