My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Battina came to me from a shelter that was going to put her down due to age. I was told that she was 13 yrs old and that's not a good reason to kill any cat. So, I took her because I am older and I want to make sure that I out live my cats, or at least that's the plan. I have a friend who is a vet and he looked at her and said, honey, you've been told a story. This cat is either 5-6 yrs old or she's one in a million that has great teeth (that's what they use to guesstimate age in cats, horses too) So, based on that news, I have decided to put her up for a new home.....she's a great cat, but I get the feeling she was an only cat.....when she sleeps in bed with me, she doesn't let any of my other cats on the bed. While I am sleeping, she will wake me up (she wants wet food in the am) by licking me....my face, my hands,my arms, whatever she can lick she does. So, of someone is as offended as I am about killing animals or lying about their age so that they will be killed, and wants a little older cat, then please consider Battina.....she really is a love and she is no trouble at all....she's a lap cat....she will sleep with you on the couch when you take a nap, she will be in your bed waiting for you to come on up...she's easy to maintain, she's not a trouble maker by climbing on things, she LOVES her scratching post (a must buy) so she never goes after any of my furniture. She would make a great only cat.
She is tested, spayed, and up to date on all shots too.....Hard copy medical records accompany each of our cats and kittens on adoption day.
You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are placed with the Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to any placement. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours. We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only a high end cat food.
Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their placed. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be placed spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any placement of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO, which is so important to help combat the pet overpopulation crisis.
