Charlie's Story...
My name is “Second Chance” Charlie and I need a home. I was found wandering the highway in the Blue Ridge mountains by a wonderful couple who love dogs. After making sure that I didn’t have a family that was looking for me, the couple took me home. I was filthy so they gave me several baths and took me to the vet to get neutered and to get all my shots. They were so nice! Now I am living with my foster mom and dad and four foster sisters and brothers. We all get along and have a great time. I'm quiet and calm and love to nap on my bed. My foster mom calls me a couch potato. I am also very affectionate and love to be petted. I walk well on the leash and have good house manners. I’ve never been around cats, so I’m not sure how I would react to them. I love my foster family, but I really want a forever home.

Charlie is a courtesy crossposting. If you are interested in meeting him, please email Mark or call 703-623-3304.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Herndon Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Herndon, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Herndon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Herndon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Herndon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Herndon paves the way for another one to be saved.
