Ham Sammich, called Hammy or Sammy for short, is a special dog with a funny name! Hammy is a sweet boy who loves people and gets along well with other dogs. Hammy enjoys fast-paced play with active pooches and has been calm and friendly when introduced to small and/or elderly dogs. Such an all-around good guy! Hammy is not used to walking on a leash and pulls strongly if allowed to do so! He is learning loose-leash walking on daily walks with volunteers and at weekly BAD RAP training class, which he attends with a volunteer handler. Hammy is eligible to continue BAD RAP training for FREE ($100 value) with his adopter after he goes home. We suspect Hammy is familiar with the comforts of a proper home as he is clean in his kennel and appears to be house trained. Being house trained can make for an uncomfortable stay for shelter dogs, and so we are hoping this boy will land a great, new home sooner rather than later. Hammy is a loving, connected, good boy who will make a great companion. This Ham Sammich is even good for vegans! Come meet Hammy today!
